It's been broken down by platform:
- November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S - Pre-orders for consoles began on June 25, 2026.
- A PC version has not yet been confirmed for launch, with industry estimates suggesting a potential release in late 2027 or early 2028.
I don't understand why people would pre-order digital content. What is the advantage of paying upfront for unknown game and small reward? It might be cool for kids to brag having it first and be the one to explain new ins and outs I guess.
But so far it's promising to be most versatile story-rich game (as everyone expects it to be). Few are weary of inclination to include identity politics of characters. With most of the original GTA creators not being involved I'm certain it will have all the attention and scrutiny that will require fixes by developers within days of release.
