Growing to like the new setup. Zorin OS uses the same shortcuts as windows e.g. Win+E to open file explorer.
Apps from the store are stable. Other times apps installed from the web do different things.
What must be considered is that they often require root, but you're a user. Doing things as root installs things as root so normal users don't often have access or something similar.
Linux and it's user management can be tricky. Also apps that are emulating can create virtual directories that adds to the headache. As a rule, anything that needs to be installed on Linux, needs documentation to follow to input and configure everything needed.
