By using bacteria from "Ewingella americana" frog it causes what sounds like, biological chaos (for cancer).

The bacteria thrives inside low oxygen area such as a tumor, and multiplies 3000x within 24hrs destroying the cancer and getting the attention of the immune system to take out the leftovers.

The bacteria did not seem to be interested in any of healthy organs (in mice).

Within 72 hrs the there was mild inflammation, but otherwise non-life threatening.

The bacteria's half-life is 1.2hrs at which point it gets flushed out. It only survives for few hrs, meaning that it doesn't stay inside organism for long at all. Just long enough to show your immune system that it found something that you shouldn't have and will stay there until it's gone.

They haven't done human trials yet, but sounds better than shooting up chemicals to poison entire body just to have a 50/50 chance in 6 months.

Apparently this potential treatment completely eradicates 100% of cancer cells, what seems to be in record time.

Unfortunately curing a deadly disease in 3 days is not as profitable as 6 months to 5 years of treatment. So no pharma company will jump to get something like that rolled out.

Long story short, when a celebrity removes her breasts and fallopian tubes because of possibility of cancer due to a gene during a test, maybe just keeping tabs on health with checkups is a sane option. 

Statistically, such operations "doubled" - i.e in the same clinic by 400 annual operations (total around 800).

But as a celebrity, they probably know the basic psychology of the fans - some things will be repeated by them.

I don't understand willing self-mutilation for preemptive reasons. Never mind conscious decisions just for physical alteration.
