It depends on the context - your state of being. The question sits at the core when you go down to it.<br />

<li>If you're lost - it's to find yourself.<br />

But simply put in the eyes of science - humans are mammals with special abilities - intellectual and physical. At the core, we're meant to have family and share experiences and skills to gain advantage over peers to survive/thrive and outgrow.<br />

In the modern world, surviving is assisted by organized economies (not ideal, nonetheless very advantageous to be part of). But with development of the internet and technology, it throws us off a bit. Some of our abilities are hindered due to our own neglect. While some cultures "exploit" economies to take over countries by out-populating native people.<br />
